Two icons of modern luxury collaborated last month to create a glamorous, unique, and unexpected vignette at Architectural Digest’s exclusive AD Loves, an annual event showcasing the publication’s favorite pieces and designers. This year, the goal was to create “Instagram-able” vignettes within the showrooms at New York Design Center at 200 Lex.

Arteriors paired with renowned designer Caleb Anderson, co-founder of Drake / Anderson design firm. A protégé of his now-partner Jamie Drake and student of architect David Mann, Anderson is known for his effortlessly elegant designs.

Anderson’s eye for unexpected luxury is the perfect platform for Arteriors’ pieces.

“I wanted to create a vignette that felt layered and modern but also gave a traditional nod that felt glamorous,” the designer told Architectural Digest. Modern yet traditional and glamorous—Anderson flawlessly captured the Arteriors essence.

“The dark and moody background was ignited by the sparkle of playful mirrors and a symmetrical layering of Arteriors’ fabulous products in brassy finishes and plush blue tones,” said Anderson.

The notoriously comfortable Turner Sofa in Indigo Velvet, the sharp lines of the Austin cocktail tables, other Arteriors pieces and a moody abstract painting combine to make the layered, modern look Anderson envisioned a reality.

“This juxtaposition, along with the reflective quality of the mirrors flanking the painting, gave the space a romantic feel,” says AD Interiors and Gardens Editors Alison Levasseur (Architectural Digest). This romantic intimacy set the perfect scene for cocktail sipping and conversation about the latest design news.
