With the Arteriors XO Barneys NY Pop-Up Shop, the 9th floor of Barneys Madison Avenue Flagship was presented to Arteriors a beautiful, blank canvas.
Meeting between the Arteriors' visual merchandising team, marketing and creative yielded the same result: The space had to communicate the Arteriors lifestyle in a fresh, luxurious way.
Luxury is nonchalant glamour - with a voice bellowing “Calm down!”, and Arteriors is a brand that listens to that voice.
The shop is a tranquil respite from the city; with products and designs that speak for themselves - oozing luxury and calm. The objects have a couture-like quality. The finishes, the fabric, the hand-gilded objects and mélange of modern and transitional flavors are visually delicious.
Texture is the unsung hero of most rooms, and often the last thing considered when putting a room together. But the look and feel of surfaces add interest and depth. Too much smoothness and a room feels cold and lifeless. Too much in the other direction and you might lack serenity and calm.
Won’t you agree the Arteriors XO Barneys space has found the perfect balance? The textured, striking fabric covering the luxurious Turner Sofa is the focal point of this vignette below, allowing everything in the background to slowly come to life.
The Edinburg mirrors feature an unusual shape and antique mirror finish - the texture is layered with multiple. The repeating pattern of mirrors with unique finishes, helps create a playful fabric of objects and wall decor.

From now until April 1, the Arteriors XO Barneys NY Pop-Up Shop stands out in all the right ways. The neutral, monochromatic palette is the antithesis of tacky. Wit comes from our objects and from the Barneys customers, collecting the ingredients of fashion and home to build a sartorial life. Again, making luxury fun.
We work with some of the industry’s top designers like Barry Dixon, Windsor Smith, and Jay Jeffers to curate a selection of offerings that embrace the Arteriors point of view. According to Mark Moussa, these collaborations enable the brand to offer a wider variety of styles, coming from several creative minds.
These guest designer partnerships are showcase at the pop-up shop as well, with pieces from Windsor Smith, Laura Kirar and Jay Jeffers (including the exclusive-to-Barneys Gatsby Bar Cabinet, above).
